the bright,the beautiful, 一切纯洁的,辉煌的,美丽的,
that stirred our hearts in youth, 强烈地震撼着我们年轻的心灵的,
the impulses to wordless prayer, 推动着我们做无言的祷告的,
the dreams of love and truth; 让我们梦想着爱与真理的;
the longing after something's lost, 在失去后为之感到珍惜的,
the spirit's yearning cry, 使灵魂深切地呼喊着的,

to reflect back her blushes,

to give sigh for sigh.

没有其他香花蕾，衬托你的娇羞色，

夏日曲曲微风里，陪你一同来叹息。

i'll not leave thee, thou lone one!

to pine on the stem;

since the lovely are sleeping,

go, sleep thou with them.

我不愿让你孤单单，死在你的花枝上，

姐妹花儿已死亡，请你睡到她身旁。

thus kindly i scatter,

thy leaves o'er the bed,

where thy mates of the garden

lie scentless and dead.
